4. It flat out works! No doubt about. If you follow Georges direction you will have success.

The Bad:

1. Keyword Research. The course covers keyword research, but I would like to have seen a little more on it.

2. Time. Although the system states the these sniper site can be put together in a few hours, id have to say that for someone new to all this it will take    quite a bit longer…ask my girlfriend..he he

3. Nothing is free. Aside from the initial product price, the only other fees that you will incur will be a domain name and hosting, but these are quite nominal.

Text uniformity. In creating a website, it is better to note that the formatting of the text is important. It is recommended to use a uniform font style for all the pages of your website to make it look professional, 1 or 2 is fine. The font style and size to be used should be readable enough not only for most users but also those having low vision levels.

Object balance. You will be creating a business website and putting in images on the pages is unavoidable. Also, text-only websites seem boring to users and will tend to lose interest in browsing around and will end up living your site. Placing images on a website needs moderation. The text and number of images that would appear on your site should be correctly balanced. This is to ensure that your site will not be tagged as irrelevant and for it to be easily previewed by users.

Easy to read content. Use bullet points or cut paragraphs with images if necessary so it won’t be easy for users to get bored. Also, users prefer that it is easy to skim/scan through the page for details.

Bold or underline. Key points should be in bold text to give emphasis while underline should be used on text. By common knowledge, underlined words are usually links to be clicked. Adapters and hubs:  An adapter is an electronic device that connects a computer to the media, thereby connecting the computer to each other. Some networks require special hardware components so the computer will communicate with each other. Connection software: Both Windows and the Mac OS have built-in networking software for sharing files, printers and even Internet connections. Usually, the only time you need to add networking software is if you want to use a Mac and Windows computer on the same network. Main types of networking!

There are five main types of home networking technology available: Fast Ethernet, phone line, power line, radio frequency and 802.11b (Wi-Fi). The first three use wires to connect computer: the latter two are wireless.

Fast Ethernet: For speed, For the fastest home network, choose Fast Ethernet also called 100Base-T. With a transmission speed of 100Mbps, it is far faster than any other home solution. If you have game players in the house, this is the way to go. Fast Ethernet generally requires installing adapters in your desktop computers. You can add laptops to the network with PC Cards.

Fast Ethernet: can be costly because you have to run special wiring, called Category 5. But is cheaper than the wireless networking setup. If your Cable or DSL internet service provider gives you IP address that you can share using a network hub. A network hub provides a very inexpensive, fast and very flexible way of sharing your Internet connection.

The Cost: This could cost anywhere from $75 to $150 per computer, but it can vary greatly depending on house design. You can eliminate the extra wiring costs if you put all the computers on the network in the same room. A 10-foot cable costs about $20, and an NIC card will cost you $20. You can also save money by wiring the network your self. Note: that for every 328 feet of cable you use, you’ll also need a device called a repeater, it will boosts the network signal that fades over distance.

The cost of the hardware isn’t much cheaper than FastEthernet, and the wiring cost are the same. Os go with the FastEthernet!

Traditional Ethernet: Pros-inexpensive to buy, very fast w/ speed up to 100 Mbps. Cable can be run up to 328 feet. Additional cards are inexpensive with costs under $20.00 each for 10/100 Mbps cards. Most common type of network in use. Cons-cable needs to run to each machine. You must open up your computer to install each card.

Building a home network by using one of two way!

Kits: Building a home network by using one of two ways: Using a kit or buying a kit is easier because you know that all of the parts work together. Use PCI or USB adapters for a desktop system, and PC card for laptop, try to match the types that your computer manual. And or search for specs on the manufacturers Web site. If you are setting up a home network for the first time, it would probably be a wise choice to buy a network kit since they include everything you need to install a two computer network. Kits include 2 network cards, a hub, cable and installation instructions.

The one thing you do need to pay attention to when buying a kit is the length of the CAT 5 cable that is included with the kit. Most manufacturers only include a 25′ long cable. In most home installations, that is not long enough. You will more than likely need to purchase a separate cable of either 50 or 100 feet for your installation. This could be the most flexible of all the wired home networking technologies. The kit cost $179 for two PCI or USB card adapters.

HomePNA 2.0: (www.homepna.org) HomePNA stands for Home Phone line Networking Alliance. HomePNA 2.0 uses the existing telephone wireing in your home to connect computer at 10Mbps. It can network all the computer that are attached to the same telephone line extension, using no central hub or access point. You only have to add wires if you want to add phone jack extension. D-Line’s DHN-920: Home Phoneline Network in a box, it has two USB adapters and cost $150 (www.dlink.com). HomePNA 2.0 is the way to go for ease of installation.

Using Wireless Networking!

Wireless: Pros No cable to run.
Cons expensive, slow with speed up to 2 Mbps. Distance is limited to about 75 feet. Additional cards are expensive.

HomeRF wireless: networks operate at 1.6Mbps, fast enough for sharing printers and for copying medium sized files. But, slower than Fast Ethernet 100Mbps. WithHomeRF you can roam with a computer up to 150 feet from the nearest computer on the network. The HomeRF isn’t the best choice for sharing a broadband Internet connection (DSL) because it’s just not fast enough to keep up with DSL or Cable modems. The cost is high expect to spend between $200 & $250 for each two computer setup. (www.homerf.org)

Wi-Fi wireless: is a step up from HomeRF, The 802.11b an 11Mbps wireless networking technology. Wi-Fi network is fast enough to share a DSL or Cable modem Internet connection. Wi-Fi networks need a separate base station that handles network traffic, and usually also serves as a gateway to the net connection. A two-computer network costs about $130 & $300 for two adapter and & $300 for abase station.

The Gateway Starter Kit (www.wavelan.com) it includes an access point and one PC card for $449. Expect adequate performance up to 300 feet from a base station, but the farther away you get, the slower the data travels. Outside the signal is good up to about 1,000 feet.

The basic transmission rate of a Wi-Fi network is faster than HomePNA 2.0 and standard Ethernet, in real life it’s slower, usually around 5.5Mbps. To make your sure Web pages and Email messages arrive at your computer reliably, The wireless networks need to devote more resources to error correction and recovery than wired networks do, leaving less bandwidth for your data.

 1. Burn images, The easy way.

The New Windows 7 OS has finally introduces a feature that other operating systems have had for a long time – the ability to burn ISO images to CDs or DVDs. And it couldn’t be much easier to use. Just double-click the ISO image, choose the drive with the blank disc, click Burn and watch as your disc is created.

 2. Startup repair, Just Do it.

If you’ve downloaded Windows 7 (and even if you haven’t) it’s a good idea to create a system repair disc right away in case you run into problems booting the OS later on. Click Start > Maintenance > Create a System Repair Disc, and let Windows 7 build a bootable emergency disc. If the worst does happen then it could be the only way to get your PC to boot up and get it running again. Just do it.

3. Take control

If your tired of the kids installing dubious software or running applications you’d rather they left alone? Then try using Applocker, AppLocker is a new Windows 7 feature that ensures users can only run the programs you specify. Don’t worry, that’s easier to set up than it sounds: you can create a rule to allow everything signed by a particular publisher, so choose Microsoft, say, and that one rule will let you run all signed Microsoft applications. Launch GPEDIT.MSC and go to Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Application Control Policies > AppLocker to get a feel for how this works.

4. Enable virtual Wi-Fi

Windows 7 includes a little-known new feature called Virtual Wi-Fi, which effectively turns your PC or laptop into a software-based router. Any other Wi-Fi-enabled devices within range – a desktop, laptop, an iPod perhaps – will “see” you as a new network and, once logged on, immediately be able to share your internet connection.

This will only work if your wireless adapter driver supports it, though, and not all do. Check with your adapter manufacturer and make sure you’ve installed the very latest drivers to give you the best chance.

Once you have driver support then the easiest approach is to get a network tool that can set up virtual Wi-Fi for you. Virtual Router (below) is free, easy to use and should have you sharing your internet connection very quickly.

5. Recover screen space

The new Windows 7 taskbar acts as one big quick launch toolbar that can hold whatever program shortcuts you like (just right-click one and select Pin To Taskbar). And that’s fine, except it does consume a little more screen real estate than we’d like. Shrink it to a more manageable size by right-clicking the Start orb, then Properties > Taskbar > Use small icons > OK.

Windows 7 now combines taskbar buttons in a way that saves space, but also makes it more difficult to tell at a glance whether an icon represents a running application or a shortcut. The Sticky Notes app is both simpler and more useful in Windows 7. Launch StikyNot.exe and you can type notes at the keyboard; right-click a note to change its colour; click the + sign on the note title bar to add another note; and click a note and press Alt + 4 to close the note windows (your notes are automatically saved).

Want faster access to your Videos folder? Windows 7 now lets you add it to the Start menu. Just right-click the Start orb, click Properties > Start Menu > Customize, and set the Videos option to “Display as a link”. If you’ve a TV tuner that works with Windows 7 then you’ll appreciate the new option to display the Recorded TV folder on the Start menu, too.

To shrink down a basic volume on your hard disk, or a spanned volume;

1. Open the Disk Management console by typing diskmgmt.msc at an elevated command prompt.

2. In Disk Management right-click on the volume that you want to shrink and then click on Shrink Volume.

3. In the field provided in the shrink dialog box enter the amount of space by which to shrink the disk.

In the Shrink dialog box there will be the following information:

Total size before shrieking in MB Will list the total capacity of the volume in MB. This is the formatted size of the volume.

Size of Available Shrink space in MB Will list the maximum amount by which you can shrink the volume. This doesn’t represent the total amount of free space on the volume, rather it represents the amount of space that can be removed, not including any data reserved for the Master file table, volume snapshot, page files, and other temporary files.

Enter The Amount of Space to Shrink in MB Will list the total amount of space that will be removed from the volume. The initial volume devotes to the maximum amount of space that can be removed from the volume. For optimal drive performance should ensure that the volume has at least 10% of free space after the shrink operation.

Total size after shrink in MB Will list that a total capacity of the volume in MB will be after you shrink the volume. This is a new formatted size of the volume.

4. Click on shrink.

Now that you have unallocated disk space, you can use that space to create a new partition on your drive.

Scheduling Maintenance Tasks:

You can automate any routine task that you perform. To do this, you can use the Task Scheduler service to schedule the task to run automatically. Not only can you schedule tasks to run once or periodically, but you can also schedule them to run when the computer starts, when you log on, or when a specific event occurs.

Getting Started with Task Scheduling: You use the Task Scheduler to view and work with scheduled tasks. To access the Task Scheduler, click Start, Control Panel, System and Security, Administrative Tools, Schedule Tasks.

The scheduled tasks are stored in the Task Scheduler Library. Task Scheduler displays tasks created by you or other users when you select the Task Scheduler Library node in the left pane. Unlike earlier versions of Windows, Windows 7 makes extensive use of scheduled tasks. In the Task Scheduler Library, you’ll find system tasks under Microsoft\Windows and Microsoft\Windows Defender. Tasks under Microsoft\Windows handle many of the background housekeeping tasks on your computer. Tasks under Microsoft\Windows Defender are used to automate malware scans.

Tasks can have many properties associated with them, including:
• Triggers that specify the circumstances under which a task begins and ends
• Actions that define the action a task performs when it is started
• Conditions that qualify the conditions under which a task is started or stopped
• Settings that affect the behavior of the task

Based on these properties, you can use Task Manager to create two types of tasks: basic
tasks and advanced tasks. Basic tasks have only triggers and actions, and are meant to
help you quickly schedule a common task. Advanced tasks have triggers, actions, conditions,
and settings, and are meant to be used by advanced users or administrators.

Creating Basic Tasks
You can create a basic task by completing these steps:

1. Click Start¨Control Panel¨System and Security¨Administrative Tools¨Schedule
Tasks.

2. Click the Action menu and then select Create Basic Task. This starts the Create
Basic Task Wizard.

3. On the Create a Basic Task page, type a name and description of the task. Click
Next.

4. On the Task Trigger page, select a run schedule for the task. You can schedule
tasks to run periodically (daily, weekly, or monthly), or when a specific event occurs,
such as when the computer starts or when the taskfs user logs on. Click Next.
The next page you see depends on when the task is scheduled to run.

5. If youfve selected a daily running task, the Daily page appears. Configure the task using these fields and then click Next:

Use the Start options to set a start date and time.

Recur every
Allows you to run the task every day, every other day, or every nth day, beginning
with the start date you set. For example, if you want the task to run
every other day, youfd set the gRecur every X daysh text box to 2 days.

For Windows XP: Type cleanmgr /d c: /sageset:100 in the RUN box. The Disk Cleanup dialog box appears. Check the items you want to clean every time you run this process, for example Recycle Bin, Temporary Internet Files, Old Chkdsk files and then click on OK.

/d driveletter: – This switch selects the drive that you want Disk Cleanup to clean. Note that the /d switch is not used with /sagerun:n.

Create a new shortcut in your Windows folder using cleanmgr /sagerun:100 as the command line. Name it as CleanupTask.

How To – Using the Task Scheduler

* Open Scheduled Tasks from Start Menu, Accessories, System Tools.
* Double-click on Add Scheduled Task
* Choose Next
* Click on Browse and locate the shortcut file that you just created [CleanupTask]
* Choose Weekly and click Next
* Select the Time and day during which you want the CleanupTask to run.
* Click Next
* Type-in the Username and password. [By default, task scheduler won’t run with blank password]
* Choose Next, Finish

NOTE: sageset:n – option displays the Disk Cleanup Settings dialog box and also creates a registry key to store the settings that you select. The n value, which is stored in the registry, allows you to specify tasks for Disk Cleanup to run. The n value can be any integer value from 0 to 65535. To have all of the options available when you use the /sageset option, you might need to specify the drive where Windows is installed.

You can have any number of tasks created [in Sageset 1, you can select “Recycle Bin”, in Sageset configuration 2, you can deselect Recycle-bin. Each of the Sageset configurations are stored in the following registry key and sub-keys:

There are a few rules of thumb that everyone online and follow when selecting a very good hack proof passport for any type of account online. Whether it would be your e-mail, MySpace account, online checking account and other favorite sites online that require that you use a password.

Here are some tips to help you pick a hack proof password.

1. Any word used in the password should not come from any type of dictionary. This includes names and acronyms. By you using words/names/acronyms for your passwords, makes the password much easier for a hacker or anyone to guess the password. Every name plus every word in the dictionary will fail under a simple brute force attack software tool.

2. The password you use should contained both letters and numbers. Preferably in alternating sequence ie p2f5j8b9c. adding numbers to your passwords will increase the difficulty for anyone including hackers to guess it.

3. The more characters you use in your password length will make it much more difficult for a hacker to guess. A password length of 6 to 8 is very good, but 10 to 14 characters who make it extremely difficult for a hacker to guess your password.

4. Try using lowercase and uppercase characters and special characters like %$#@&. By just adding one capital letter and asterisk “*” to your password of 6 to 8 characters will take a hacker from 3 hours to 3 centuries to guess using a brute force hacking software tool.

5. To play it super save you shouldn’t save your password in any open un-locked file on your computer, unless you can lock it with a password. Never tell anyone your passwords, sounds stupid, but people will give their password to a friends or to someone they trust.

6. If you need to write down your password because you’re really forgetful write it on a piece of paper and keep it in a safe place until you memorize it. Then destroy the paper with the password once you have it memorized.

7. Remember to change your password at least once a month for critical accounts that are important to you that must never be hacked into.

8. If you thought of a good password and want to test it, you can try Microsoft’s password strength tester to find out how secure it is.

Don’t do this, Password Tips:

1. Don’t use your pet’s name, child’s name, partner name or your own name, (that’s the first password guess someone will try, your name.)

2. Never use “password” or 123, 123, 1234, 123456.

3. Don’t use your city, college, favorite sport team name for a password.

4. Don’t use your birth date, your child’s or partner’s birth date.

One of the easiest ways for a hacker to gain access to information on your account is to use a brute force attack program. All hacker has to do is download a free brute force attack software and use it to guess your password and login to your account. You probably use the same password for a lot of your account this makes it easy for the hacker to gain access to your accounts using the same password for all. A brute force attack program as Brutus, wwwhack or THC Hydra can try over 10,000 different usernames and passwords in a very short time.

Note: I realize most people don’t care about hack proofing their passwords until it’s too late and they’ve learned a hard lesson. Before assuming that your Xbox gaming system needs to be repair or needs to be sent back to Microsoft for repairs, you should take a good look at your gaming system that rule out all the simple repairs and fixes you could do yourself first. This how to will provide you with some troubleshooting procedures. You can try out for yourself and maybe fix your Xbox 360 yourself.

If you’re unfamiliar with the term triggering a death. It refers to the three red lights at four-month recorder ring around the power button on your Xbox 360 gaming system. when your Xbox 360 stops working. You will see here, one two or three red buttons on the ring surrounding your on-off switch.

You will find out below why this occurs and what to do before you send your counsel in for repairs. Plus some simple tips and steps on how to repair and whether you should repair it yourself.

Things you need to know before you proceed.

Opening up your console will void your warranty.

If you have an Xbox 360 with a expired warranty and you have had experience, opening up and working on your Xbox 360 console, then there is nothing to worry about. Otherwise he should think this over before you start.

First make sure that you actually have the Xbox 360 red ring of death

Make certain that you count three red lights ( see picture ). If you see, four red lights that form a ring, this is not the red ring of death. You’ll see a brief description of the error codes below.

* One red light – There was a hardware failure. Turn-off & unplug then reconnect all cables & turn-on.

* Two red lights –  The console is overheating. Turn-off and let the console cool down. try to find ways to keep your console cool, cooling fan or limit your hours of usage so the console does not overheat.

* Three red lights – This is the “red ring of death” followl the tips on this page. tried all the troubleshooting tips listed on this page.

* Four red lights – the AV cable is loose. Disconnect the cable and then firmly reattach, you may as well do this for all the cables on the console. If this doesn’t help, your AV cable may be damaged and needs to be replaced.

Why does the red ring of death happen?

What are the causes for the “red ring of death”.

There are two very different reasons why your Xbox 360 gaming system will flash a red ring of death.

1. whenever your Xbox 360 gaming system is getting insufficient power. You can easily fix this problem without having to open up your gaming system.

2. the other cause, and more serious cause for the red ring of death is overheating of your Xbox 360 games system. Your Xbox 360 will overeat for various design problems.

Many times, overheating of the Xbox 360 will trigger the three red lights condition known as “red ring of death” before any damage has occurred to your gaming system. In which case, you will need to adjust and make accommodations to help reduce your Xbox 360 from overheating.

however, overheating your gaming system or repeat overheating can cause damage to the motherboard in your Xbox 360 gaming system. This is the case, you may need to do some repairs on your gaming system. You can either send your Xbox 360 back to Microsoft for repairs. If you have a valid up-to-date warranty, or you can do the repairs itself (read the repairing at your Xbox section below).

1.  Heat –  the Xbox 360 is excessive.

The Xbox 360 is packed with many hot high-powered components that fill a very small space. Very high are put out by these high powered components such as the CPU and GPU. The Xbox 360 gaming Council deals with this by using heat sinks, fans and  vent, to help dissipate the heat in the box. The Xbox 360 system will overeat, if airflow into the Xbox 360  is  obstructed in any way. When the heat gets too high in the Xbox 360 gaming system, then the various design flaws will begin to act up, which leads to the red ring of death.

2. lead free solder – Xbox 360, solder may be brittle.

Microsoft in order to avoid using lead to products used by children, Microsoft decided to use leadfree solder and the Xbox 360. To make the Xbox 360 gaming system lead free. Problem is that lead free solder tends to be more brittle, which makes for bad connections. Lead free solder exposed to heat over long periods of stress the brittle solder and tiny hairline cracks will develop. The tiny hairline cracks will obstruct the flow of electricity current which will result in a week Sadr joint that will easily break.

3. The flawed heat sink, clamps bad design.

the Xbox 360 X. clamp maybe a design flaw, as it’s clamping force is very uneven. The uneven pressure, most likely intensifies when the CPU and gaming system gets hot. This may cause the motherboard to flex and warp in the heat. The leadfree solder joints that are brittle will get stressed by flexing motion of the motherboard. When this combination of heat and flex are combined, over time cracks and breaks will occur in the soldering joints.

On a number of Xbox 360 gaming systems, Microsoft has failed to remove some foil on the heat sinks. Many of the “red ring of death” figures can be attributed to this mistake. Note, all the thermal compound must be removed if you decide to remove the foil yourself.

5. Manufacturing process differences — the soldering temperature was too low.

The soldering procedure during the manufacturing of the Xbox 360 was done to low of a temperature. Whenever leadfree soldering is under heated, the soldering joint will be full of voids and other defects. The weak solder joints will not hold up for very long under normal usage. The combination of all the other faults in manufacturing of Xbox 360 such as running too hot, and the warping of the motherboard, then you got a perfect formula for failure.

6. the graphic chip puts out too much heat.

rather than going to a experience graphic chip design, Microsoft decided to design the graphic chip in-house, in order to save millions of dollars and the cost of  the design of the graphic chip.

As a result of Microsoft’s inexperience in designing graphic chips to save money, thier poorly designed graphic chip dispenses too much wasted heat.

This problem, combine with the week cooling system and the Xbox 360, are the cause of many of the so-called “red ring of death’.

Microsoft has since gone to angone to ASIC vendor in the US have had its graphic chip totally redesigned.

However, there are a lot of Xbox 360 units that are in use today and still have the old graphic chip. These Xbox 360 gaming units will continue to have overheating problems.

Troubleshooting tips before you send your Xbox 360 to Microsoft  for repairs or open up your 360 cosole. You should try out some of these troubleshooting tips before you send your Xbox out for repairs, you just might get lucky.

Troubleshooting tips, in the order of  the easiest to the more complex.

1. First try, restarting the Xbox 360 console. If this doesn’t work, try step 2.

2. If that doesn’t work, you should check for loose cables or power cord. Try unplugging and reconnecting power cord, and all other cords, connected to your Xbox 360 one at a time. Now reconnect the power cord, and turn on the Xbox 360 console. If this doesn’t work, try step 3.

3. if the above steps didn’t help,  then try turning off the console, unplugged the power cord, and disconnect the hard drive. Now, plug-in power cord (with a hard  drive  removed) and turn the Xbox console back on. Now, if the console does not show a three ring light error, turn the console off and disconnect the power cord from the wall. Final step, reconnect the hard drive, plug-in power cord, and turn your Xbox 360 console on. If this doesn’t work, try step 4.

4. if you’re using a defective surge protector, power strip or an old extension cord, your Xbox console may not be getting adequate power. You can try plugging the Xbox 360 power brick directly into the wall. It’s very common to have a defective extension cord or power strip. That’s why you should plug your Xbox 360 console directly into the wall power outlet, and not connected to a shared power strip/extension cord.

5. If you’re thinking that your Xbox 360 console has overheated, then just turn off for a while and let it cool down. Keep it away from hot surfaces such as on top of a VCR, computer, receiver and any other electrical device that gives off heat. On extremely hot days, you may want to turn a fan on and face the fan to the Xbox 360 console to give it extra cooling on those hot summer days.

Remember to not place your Xbox 360 console any heat source. Some very obvious sources of heat are, keep away from heaters, TV, cable box, VCR all of these radiate heat.

Remove any dust buildup on and around your Xbox gaming console. If you have a can of compressed air or better yet, an air compressor in the garage tried blowing out the fan vent on the Xbox gaming Console. It would be a good idea to do the same for any computers you have. You would be surprised to see all the dust buildup in your computer. Blowing out all the dust build-up in your Xbox console and your computer will save you from costly repairs from the damage caused by the heat buildup. Try to do this once every six months, if not at least once a year.

Remember to try to keep the Xbox power brick cool, so keep it off carpeting. if you can place it on a elevated cool surface. You can also hang  the power brick by a hook on the wall. So as to keep it cool.

Keep the rear of the Xbox 360 council claire. Try not to push it up against walls or other electronics, and keep any debris away. Do not allow the cords and cables to bunch up behind  the rear area. As this will cause overheating and block the rear cooling fans.

A few things that you should not do — The old Xbox towel trick.

1. Baking your Xbox — also known as the towel trick.

By wrapping a towel around the Xbox so that it would get so hot, high enough to melt and then maybe join some of the broken solder joints and/or join together in a detached heat sink will also overheat and bake the internal chips, causing damage. Don’t do it!

Even if you tried this and it worked. The fix is only temporary in most cases. The damage you cause to the internal chips, and the gaming system in whole are not worth it. There is nothing to be gained from this risky technique.

2. Freezing your Xbox 360

Do not under any circumstances, put your Xbox 360 in the freezer will or outside exposed to very cold weather conditions. Trying to cool down your your overheated Xbox 360 console. In this manner is very hard on the internal electronics of the  Console that are built to operate in normal room temperature.  Don’t do it!

All the Xbox 360s, experiencing a “ring of death” have had their warranties extended for three more years beyond the purchase date. Note: If you opened up your console you have voided your warranty.

If you’re not very handy, and/or you don’t want to void your warranty. Your best bet would be to send your Xbox 360 back to Microsoft for repairs. Expect at least 2 to 3 weeks before your repaired Xbox 360 gets back you. It really doesn’t make sense to open up your Xbox console and tinker around with the electronics inside, unless you really don’t care if you cause more damage or not by trying to repair it yourself.

In Windows 7 application performance determines the relative priority of applications being run by users and those being run by the operating system. Unlike earlier releases of Windows, Windows 7 does a much better job of prioritizing, and as a result, background processes and housekeeping tasks have less impact on performance.

Because of this, the default configuration for application performance, which gives scheduling priority to applications you are running, is typically what you’ll want to use. The only time you may want to change this behavior is if you are using a computer running Windows 7 as a server.

For example, if you were using a computer as a printer server or web server, you would probably want to change the scheduling priority settings.

Control application performance by completing the following steps:

1. In the Control Panel, click the System and Security category heading link.

2. Click System. In the left pane under See Also, click Performance Information and

Tools.

3. Under Tasks, click “Adjust visual effects.” This opens the Performance Options dialog box.

4. On the Advanced tab, select “Background services” to optimize performance for a computer you are using as a server. Otherwise, select Programs to optimize performance for a computer you use to run applications, such as Microsoft Word.

5. Click OK.
